The Research and Training Institute of East Aegean (INEAG), founded in 1995 on Samos Island, by the Samian Professor of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Kyriakos Kioulafas (Ph.D in OR (H-W)), the Research and Training Institute of East Aegean (INEAG) has engaged in activities aimed at contributing to the development of the East Aegean. INEAG's main activities from 1996 to today can be summarised as follows: INEAG, located in a Greek rural island, focuses to ICT services because of the reason that ICT services lift the isolation feeling that the people who live in rural areas bear due to the geomorphology of Greece (many islands and mountainous regions). INEAG team members – researchers, employees and board of directors - have as a vision, the recognition of INEAG Institute as a new and improved model of research center through business engagements to local and global business community
