2nd International Conference on Technology in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, June 27 – 29, 2001, Samos Island, Greece.

The second conference of the series was co organized with the National Louis University of Chicago (NLU) with the kind cooperation of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, the Prefecture of Samos, the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization, INTRACOM, SIEMENS Hellas and ERICSSON Hellas.

There were 64 presentations and more than 150 participants from all over the world while approximately 3000 persons attended the conference through the website of INEAG. It is worthwhile to mention that the first and the second conference were organizes within 10 months.

During the Introduction there was a connection with the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization in Athens from where Mr. Michalis Grilakis welcomed the conference participants and made a brief presentation of the Telecommunications Sector in Greece and especially of OTEplus SA.
During the General Panel there was a connection with NLU in Chicago from where Provost Dr. Linda Taffel presented the paper "International Perspectives on the Use of Technology in Higher Education" as scheduled.

The Proceedings are available at the Hellenic National Library and at INEAG's library 

 

1st International Conference "Technology in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education", August 25 – 27, 2000, Samos Island, Greece.

The conference was co organized with the National Louis University of Chicago (NLU) with the kind cooperation of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, the Prefecture of Samos, the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization, INTRACOM, SIEMENS Hellas and ERICSSON Hellas.

There were 59 presentations and more than 120 participants from all over the world while approximately 1500 persons attended the conference through the website of INEAG. During the Introduction there was a connection with the Russian International Academy of Tourism in Moscow from where the Dean Professor Valery Kvartalnov welcomed the conference participants
