This call is for papers intended to be presented in 6th ICE SAMOS 2010 conference in plenary sessions. All papers are subject to peer review by the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
If you wish to participate at 6th ICE Samos 2010, and have your paper published in the Conference Proceedings submit your proposal to

(attention: George Katharakis ) by April 15, 2010. Proposals should include title, purpose/objective section, and a 150 -250-word summary. Please include name, position and department, institution and contact information (phone, mail, fax and e-mail).

Download 6th ICE 2010 Call for Papers: 
Notification on whether the paper has been accepted or not will be sent by 2 May, 2010. Completed manuscripts must be submitted by 25 May, 2010. Manuscripts must not exceed 7 pages (including abstract, references, tables, figures and diagrams). Papers exceeding the stated limits will be returned to their authors for revision. Please consult the “Submission and Guide” at the Conference Web Site before submitting the final version of your paper.
Papers presented in 6th ICE Samos 2010 must be suitable for a 15 minute presentation at a plenary session.
Papers presented at the Conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings (ISSN, ISBN) under the title: "International Conference on Education". Papers received after the deadline mentioned above will not be included in the proceedings.

Dr.
C.A.
(Kees-Jan) van Dorp is Research Director and advisory to the Board and Executive
of EADTU. EADTU is the representative organisation of both the European open and
distance teaching universities, and the national consortia of higher education
institutions active in the field of distance education and e-learning. Van Dorp
maintains active involvement in research by coordination of European and US
funded projects, task forces, academic initiatives and stakeholder cooperation,
viz. the European Commission, the European University Association, the William
and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the OpenCourseWare Consortium, and the United
Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
He
developed multiple Good Practices in
strands of Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates Minerva, Information Society Technologies, Lingua, Erasmus, KA4 Multilateral and Jean Monet, relating to
European virtual
campuses, employability, university-enterprise cooperation, open
educational resources, modernisation of HE, and curriculum development. Van
Dorp delivered education and research at Maastricht
University,
contract research at Wageningen
University and
contract education at University College Maastricht. He obtained various grants
from government and foundations for research on knowledge and information management.
Van
Dorp has authored en edited several books and dozens of publications. He serves
multiple programme committees and is requested keynote speaker, workshop leader, moderator, presenter, panellist, peer reviewer and
domain expertee. He obtained his master degree at Eindhoven University of Technology and his PhD degree at Wageningen
University.
